Please pray today for Josh and Hattie
Friends, please pray extra hard today for my dear daughter-in-law Hattie.
I recently recounted her battle with cancer and some new issues she was facing. Last Wednesday she was admitted to George Washington Hospital and under two teams of surgeons, had two 8-hour surgeries on Wednesday and Thursday.
She was still under heavy sedation and intubated until Saturday, when they did remove her breathing tube. Because she was delirious. they did a CAT scan, but determined she was okay - well, as okay as could be expected. Josh has been able to communicate a little with her, but she is in great pain - saying at several points that she has been "shot in the back."
Still, things were progressing well when I spoke to Josh last night.
Josh just texted us to say that Hattie's breathing became irregular and her oxygen levels have tanked very low and they have had to put the breathing tube back in and take her for another CAT scan. He says there could be several reasons - minor to major - why this is happening, but he will wait until he hears the diagnosis to tell us.
Please, please, pray for Hattie and Josh as you go about your work today. Your prayers help.

Hi Barbara,
You may not remember me, we only met once at Ben & Anna’s wedding. (Anna was in my Girls’ Bible Study in High School and she and Ben came to work with us in Biloxi when my husband and I were there after Katrina.)
I have been a long-time admirer of you and your family. It appears we have another mutual friend in Leona Choy. She recently sent me info about your blog and books, and as I arrived at your blog today my heart was aching to see this news. Please know Hattie and you all are in my prayers.
