Loudoun BOS postpone Chesapeake Plan end run

BOS08.gifBecause they know if they push it now, they'll surely lose their jobs!

From the American Heritage Dictionary:

1. Football A play in which the ball carrier attempts to run around one end of the defensive line.
2. Informal A maneuver in which impediments are bypassed, often by deceit or trickery.

Don't buy into their pretense that this postponement means they care how Loudoun citizens really feel. They don't - as they have demonstrated time and again on MANY issues.

Vote the problems out November 8. I will definitely be covering candidates and sorting out the true public servants from those with a self-serving agenda. In the meantime, spread the word among your neighbors and friends that this postponement is phony baloney

Memo to Supes: We are not stupid!

May 16, 2011

Loudoun County Board of Supervisors
1 Harrison Street, S.W.
Leesburg, Virginia 20177

Members of the Board:

Supervisor Burton's proposal to delay voting on the "Chesapeake Bay" Tax and Control Plan until after the Nov. 8 elections is an attempt to save the Tax and Control Plan from growing opposition.

American Tradition Partnership recommends a motion to amend Supv. Burton's motion, and vote on postponing indefinitely any further consideration of the Tax and Control Plan.

Burton's proposal to take heat off the Board's Tax and Control majority until after the election came just days after American Tradition Partnership contacted nearly 4,000 households in Burton's district, urging citizens to call Supv. Burton directly and ask him to oppose the Tax and Control Plan. American Tradition Partnership has contacted around 10,000 cumulative households in Supv. Burton's former, and new, district.

American Tradition Partnership was one of the first and is one of the most active grassroots-supported groups fighting the Tax and Control Plan. Since last May American Tradition Partnership has contacted a cumulative 60,000 households and 100,000 citizens countywide.

American Tradition Partnership, and the growing majority of Loudoun citizens who oppose the Tax and Control Plan, recommends you amend Supv. Burton's motion and vote on postponing indefinitely any consideration of the Tax and Control Plan.

You may learn more at www.AmericanTradition.org.

Sincerely,

Donny Ferguson
Executive Director
American Tradition Partnership

You can write Loudoun's Board of Supervisors too! And get out there and campaign for conservatives this summer now and until November!

Thank you for your leadership in posting on this topic. The board voted five yes, four no to table the ordinance today.

I second Mr. Delgaudio's comment. Thank you for keeping up on this issue. I would love to see this plan become nothing more than a really bad idea that's gotten it's 15 minutes of fame and will not be heard from again.
