Palin, raped by media, continues to shine
In the matter of bias, the propaganda press has lost all subtlety. I'm one of the many who are beginning to believe that Sarah Palin - who has survived such an onslaught of political and filthy personal attacks on herself and her family - has become untouchable. And the media juggernaugt is backfiring as people wonder why all the scrutiny of Palin's email and coverup of Obama's leftist/Marxist/extreme anti-American associations.
Lifson adds:June 11, 2011Are the Mainstream Media Enameling Sarah Palin With Teflon®?
By Thomas LifsonThe media feeding frenzy over 24,000 emails pertaining to Sarah Palin's governorship in Alaska is already redounding to her benefit, while further eroding the vestiges of credibility once enjoyed by the shrunken giants of American journalism, including but not limited to the New York Times, Washington Post, and CBS News. The mere fact that Mrs. Palin is a private citizen, and candidate for no office, has not prevented these once influential outlets from devoting substantial time and effort to minutely examining every document for something -- anything! -- to use as a gotcha. The extreme hostility is transparent to all.
The fact that the Times and Post both begged their readers for help in going through to documents says much about the essentially tribal nature of their audiences. The goal of both publications now is obviously the advancement of a political agenda, not the publication of significant news.
The contrast with the studied disinterest in the many lacunae in the documentation of Barack Obama's political career could not be more blatant. Stanley Kurtz, scholar and journalist, spent much time studying archives in Illinois to paint a picture of Obama's early career, but the former state senator made sure to destroy his own files from his service in Springfield (unlike other contemporary Illinois state senators, whose archives Kurtz was able to examine). Not only did mainstream media outlets decline to make an issue of Obama destroying his paper trail, they did not report what Kurtz was able to find.
Then there are the media organs who actively obstruct public access to important evidence of Obama's history:
Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit recalls the Los Angeles Times refusing to make public videotape in its possession of Obama speaking at a dinner honoring radical Palestinian Jew-hater Khalid Rashidi (tape which potentially could have alienated many Jewish Obama supporters and donors in 2008, and in 2012).

Many claim that Sarah Palin is "damaged goods," that her "brand" has been irretrievably tarnished, and that she would be hopeless as a presidential nominee, should she decide to enter the race.
But the very media outlets that mocked her, and convinced the public that she is stupid, are themselves looking stupid.
I agree. I was once someone who - though I admired Palin - thought she had been so thoroughly trashed by the media that whether she was worthy or not, she could not be elected.
No more. I believe that the unprecedented attempted takedown of her by the propaganda press has backfired. Like Reagan - who many may be too young to remember endured almost the same amount of ridicule and misrepresentation - she comes up smiling and ready to continue to give her best for the sake of America.
Two points:
1) Why is Palin "damaged goods" because of the media's trashing of her and her family - while Anthony Weiner, guilty of a host of moral failures has not been drummed out of Congress for vile acts he committed, lies he told the American public, and his greedy grasping to stay in poser and on the public payroll?
2) Rape victims and non-virgins are referred to as "damaged goods." What Palin has endured has been akin to a public rape by the media - while the Tired Old White Guys in the Republican party and conservative punditry looked on - as though to say she deserved it. SHAME ON THEM!!!!
Palin deserves our support and defense no matter whom we are supporting for nominee. I urge you when her name comes up in conversation with people who mock her to be courageous and speak up in her defense. This is our moral duty.

I spoke up for her when my brother mentioned her and Paul Revere. She was right. My brother laughed and laughed at me in a mocking manner. Don't know if he's actually that stupid or just wanted to get my goat. Maybe both. grr

People that listen to the msm are blinded I think. But hey - their sheeple - they believe hook, line, and sinker every darn thing the media says. That's just 1 of the many problems in this country - people don't think - they believe the media is non biased and truthful. Unbelievable. My husband said that he has a friend from Russia. That friend says both the US and Russia have media propaganda - the difference is that Americans believe their media propaganda.
I used to be one of those people. No more.

Barbara, I totally agree with you. I thought she was aslo too destroyed by the media but she is one smart woman and I think she is capable of winning the GOP nomination. I decided not to vote for any of the old GOP, only newcomers willing to take on the establishment like Sarah, Michelle B. or Rick Santorum. I also think it is downright criminal that the media investigates Palin but not Obama's scrubbed records. Shameful!!!!!

My own Grandmother refuses to talk to me anymore because I defended Sarah Palin. But I'll be honest, I'm not worried about that part. What worries me is my Grandmother's ability to influence people into believing the drivel she's swallowed. She truly hates Sarah Palin but can't give me a single, solid, good reason beyond "Because I just do."
I'm watching the new people, like Julie mentioned above. People want Gingrich and the like... I say get rid of them. Don't even give them the time of day.
