Jonny's MRI, Tim and Pat's wisdom teeth
Jonny has a lump on the back of his head - it's been worrying us for some time. Antibiotics didn't reduce the size, and it is causing him pain, so today he had an MRI.I was worried about him holding still, but he did great:
I chose an open MRI place in Winchester. On the way home, we stopped to see Samantha and my grandchildren in Berryville. My two oldest grandsons had just had their wisdom teeth removed and were looking pretty funny with the big icebags around their faces. I took pictures for our family blog - which Ben just created for us last week - but they said no to pictures on Grandma's blog :)
I was watching Samantha reading the post-removal instructions and refilling ice bags and giving them their medicine and remembering doing that myself for the first time when she was in her late teens (so far, all our kids have had to have their wisdom teeth removed).
Another milestone in motherhood. I am so proud of her!
We'll get Jonny's results in a couple days.

Barbara, I have one of those weird lumps on the back of my head right now and so does my husband! We are both taking antibiotics. Did your doctor tell you to apply moist heat? That is what ours recommended and it does help the pain. I hope it Jonny's goes away soon. Please keep us posted.

Praying that all is on with Jonny. Great decision to go with the open mri! The traditional ones are just awful. I was never claustraphobic before, but after my 2nd mri in two days, I nearly had a panic attack in the machine
