Places in the Heart
You seriously need to put this on your Netflix queue. One of my favorite movies of all time. This is the final scene, which still makes me cry:

This 1984 film features Sally Field, Danny Glover, John Malkovich, Ed Harris and Lindsay Crouse. Malkovich and Crouse received Academy Award nominations for their supporting roles. The children are great too.
This is a movie to watch and talk about with your family (kids 10 and up). So much to learn from the inherent dignity of each character and the grace which smooths the rough places between them. There is a side story involving adultery, but also highlighting redemption and forgiveness.
