Morgan's Wonderland theme park for special needs families

In March 2010, I covered the opening of Morgan's Wonderland, a theme park designed for children and families with special needs. Now it is another family attraction included in packages sent to travel agents, which is how longtime MommyLife reader/friend/contributor Joani Glasgow came across it:
I started a travel business a couple of years ago specializing in family vacations. From time to time I get vacation packets from different destinations marketing their attractions and so on. Yesterday I received a packet from San Antonio, TX. I've always been in love with the Riverwalk District and the history of The Alamo, but something in this particular packet caught my eye. There was a small insert about a Family Fun Park called Morgan's Wonderland. The park was designed with Special Needs individuals in mind. I checked out their website and it looks amazing. Admission is free for children and adults with special needs, $10 for anyone accompanying individuals with special needs and $15 for everyone else.
There is a gymnasium, The Sensory Village, Butterfly Playground, Wonderland Express & Depot, Music Garden and a ton of other attractions and hands on exhibits. If you have any readers in the San Antonio area that might want more info the website is Morgan's Wonderland. If you have any readers traveling to the San Antonio area they can check out the website or if they'd like other accommodations they can certainly contact me through my website Glasgow Magical Getaways and click on the Contact Me tab.

We live near there, and it is a beautiful facility, but it's super hot! It's on rock and we are waiting for cooler weather to take our special needs son. Also, it looks FANTASTIC for Austistic or mentally challenged kid's safety issues. We can't afford it- with 6 kids, that's $70 for a few hour's outing.
