Northern Virginia short family trips
Besides the train ride to see the fall colors on the Mountain Thunder Railroad, here are a few other day trips which are perfect for fall:
Get outside and have some fun!!! Your kids will always remember. I know because mine do.

I am so glad we homeschool - it's the best thing to create memories with the children. on the last week of Sept. we went to the beach while most everyone was in school. This week we have spent a lot of time outside enjoying the sunny day and cool weather before it gets really cold. I took fantastic pictures, my children had a ball and we still learned a lot specially about each other. :) So even if you can't travel for whatever reason just take a walk outside with your kiddos. :)
