Mommy Matters

moiDear Moms -  You are busy and so am I - but I hope you have the discipline to relax a little this month.  Does that sound crazy - discipline and relax in the same sentence?  Many of you may already know what I mean.  For some moms whose norm is serving others round the clock, it can be hard to break the momentum to be still for a while.  In case you missed it or forgot to give it a try, here's something from last month:

If there is one piece of advice I would give, it would be to slow down and take your time.  When it comes to holiday traditions, quality is more important than quantity - and nothing is worth a frazzled mom.  Be sure to include your children in preparations as much as possible.  And don't forget to take time to put up your feet and read with your children.

If you find yourself frazzled or frustrated as Christmas approaches, rethink everything you do.   Traditions are there to serve the family, not the other way around.  See Christmas advice: Stress Less, Live More.  If you have to skip something one year, it's really no big deal - there will be plenty of years to come!
Hold your family extra tight - and have a blessed Christmas and joyous New Year!
