Michelle Obama: $50,000 lingerie spree
Yeah, so our Imperial President says we all need to tighten our belts - yet the Queen closes down a Manhattan street so she can shop/drop $50,000 at a lingerie store.Hypocrites! And worse - the Americans who support this kind of nonsense:

The First Lady - better known for shopping at more modestly-priced High Street stores - along with the Queen of Qatar, Sheikha Mozah, closed off part of Madison Avenue to spend time in the luxury lingerie shop. Their purchases contributed to a market-spanking 12.5pc lift in sales.
Agent Provocateur, which is styled on vintage Hollywood glamour, sells handmade Calais lace corsets that sell for up to £900, which could ruffle the feathers of more than just President Barack Obama in an election year.

Just trying to imagine how you could spend $50,000 on lingerie in one day - and thinking how many starving children that might have fed. Oh, but these are the people raking in millions, taking luxury vacatioons on the taxpayer dime, and giving only 1% of their income to charity.
