Obama: Banana Republic Dictator
The news is so depressing, I don't want to dwell on it too long. But if you're too busy with kids and homeschooling to track it all, there are things you need to be aware of.
Obama is looking more and more like a Banana Republic dictator. Since returning from his 17-day 4 million dollar Hawaiian vacation, he set to work breaking Constitutional boundaries regarding separation of powers to make recess appointments even though Congress was not in recess.
These National Labor Relations Board appointments are Union Heavies who would never have made it past congressional scrutiny and whom Obama can count on to deliver his union voting bloc.
At the same time as Obama is gleefully gutting our military - getting rid of half a million troops and cutting our capability even as he assures us he is increasing it - he is hiring more government workers and paying them more:

The pattern is clear: take money away from military to pay for more union and government workers - and entitlement programs - to buy more votes.
Obama is guilty of so many impeachable offenses and remains under the protection of our Propaganda Press. But conservatives aren't Occupy burnouts, failures, and self-pitiers. We sit and wait for elections, praying that our country will still be in one piece when we take it back - and worrying that we may never see honest elections again - as clearly, this Regime will stop at nothing to remain in poser.
btw, Michelle - on her endless campaigning through children's show said on iCarly that she would like to be called Your Excellency. Obama will be on the show in a couple weeks. This propaganda planted in the form of "entertainment" on children's TV - ignoring equal time requirements - is unethical and should be stopped. Another mark of a Banana Republic - the leaders' faces plastered everywhere you look.

Barbara, how do we stop feeling that all is hopeless? I am distraught at the abuses our country is taking.

Deb, the only thing you can do is pray and trust in God. We have to look at the big picture (meaning God's Divine providence). Things in this country (and the world) could very well get ugly. We have to ask God for strength, courage and hope. Whatever happens, we have to live through it and teach our children to be strong in the Lord.
Fear not. Be strong. We already know the ending of this story.

Definitely - much prayer and faith in God is needed. Looking at the Republican candidates, it looks very much like we could be in for more of the same whether or not b.o. gets elected again. I no longer have any confidence whatsoever in world systems. That includes the elections. But we'll see.
