Hi Barbara, best wishes on your daughter's wedding. What a wonderful young lady she seems to be. I danced with "Shower the People you Love with Love" by James Taylor. My Dad and I both love his songs and didn't want anything too sappy! it worked for us. if i can think of any others i will let you know.
Blessings,
Maura Dolan

Hi Barbara,
I suggest Frank Sinatra..classy but not over used! I especially like Fly Me To The Moon & Wonderful Tonight. Good luck!

With my Dad, we danced to Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter". It's a Mellow favorite of mine and seemed just right.

"What a Wonderful World." Lyrics are lovely and the tempo is just right.

My dad and I danced to "In My Life" by the Beatles, and my husband and his mom danced to "What a Wonderful World." Both great choices in my (not so) humble opinion.

Dance Me Daddy is a book by Cindy Morgan. There is a song that the book is based on. I believe it's "King of the World" by Point of Grace. Great book and a great song!!

We danced to "Unforgettable" - the version that both Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole sing. Loved that Natalie sang it as a tribute to her father and it's such a simple, beautiful song.

At www.weddingmusiccentral.com we have original songs from award winning hit writers written specifically for these special moments. Not songs that "just" might fit but songs written so that every note, every word would be perfect. For the father daughter dance we have "Angel in My Arms" and "My Little Girl" (not the Tim McGraw song) from a dad to his daughter and from the daughter to her dad we have "You're My Hero". This is a tribute to her father from a daughter expressing her gratitude for all he's been in her life. As we like to say - "The Perfect Song for the Perfect Moment". Visit us and listen. We'd love to have you!

My niece danced with her father to "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Grobain although I personally think that Paul Byrom's version ( from Irish group Celtic Thunder) is superior!

Just some ideas
Dean Martin, "That's Amore"
Frank Sinatra & Peggy Lee, "Nice Work If You Can Get It"
They seem like songs that could be a father giving his daughter advice about love and they're just great tunes by wonderful singers. Have fun at the wedding !
