Fortnight for Freedom - on Facebook
I just changed the banner at my facebook to reflect this important ongoing event. It's our responsibility to let our family, friends and neighbors know that religious liberty in this country is under serious threat:

| Dear Barbara,
Did
you know that there are 926,200 U.S. Catholics active on
Facebook? And almost 200,000 of them are friends of Catholic Advocate
members like you -- connected some way through your professional,
social, and
religious circles. In the midst of our ongoing Fortnight for Freedom,
that sounds like a pretty effective force to defend religious liberty.
During this fortnight, there are a number of ways
you can get involved and help out using social media. Following us on Twitter, you can be
sure to retweet our messages in support of religious liberty. By liking us on Facebook, you can
like, comment on, and share the links, status updates, and photos that we post every day. You can also change your Facebook cover photo so
that everyone who visits your timeline knows our mission.
As our religious liberties are attacked from all angles, we sincerely
need your help to defend them with this historic effort. Take a second
today and
think about which Catholics in your life are active on Facebook and
Twitter, and send them a message. Even if you just involve a few, you're
doing
your part to help this effort be successful. Thank you for your
continued prayers and action. Sincerely,

Matt Smith President, Catholic Advocate
