Logic and critical thinking resources

Critical thinking is not a priority in today's public education. The push has been to groom a citizenry of believers in big government rather than personal responsibility. And it's easier to bamboozle people who've never been nurtured in the art of logic.

Parents can begin early to build these skills in their children - even those in public school - with materials for elementary and high school.

But what about parents themselves? What if your own education neglected this important skill? Following the lead of a reader who ordered a couple of these yesterday, I offer this roundup of reader-friendly materials to hone your ability to make sense of an increasingly irrational world. With these skills, you will be better equipped to explain your positions and keep conversations on target:

I'm beginning my homeschooling journey and have already bought a lot of books. I got a series of books before I really looked into recommendations and am curious if anyone has used them or has an opinion about them ? "Building Thinking Skills by Howard Black & Sandra Parks"
Thanks !
