The Master - Scientology-themed film
Very intriguing. Sometimes reality (a religion called Scientology) stranger than fiction - but then when they make fiction from that strange reality, it's even more interesting. . .
A charismatic man returns home to America from World War II and forms a faith-based organization. He is now known as "the Master" and his belief system is catching on. As the group is gaining momentum and adding new converts, a young drifter arrives and becomes the Master?'s invaluable aid.

It does look interesting. It may give some insight into how manipulation and suggestion can be used to control people.
