Let's face it.  We're women.  We need color in our lives.

When we're feeling down, doing a little project which adds beauty and excitement to our home can fix us right up. Especially when we're getting ready for the holidays.

So I was really excited when Glidden contacted me:

Dear Barbara -

After reviewing your blog, I thought your readers may be interested in a paint product that will give surfaces a reflective glow for the holiday season. Glidden Trim & Door is a industry-first paint that is specifically formulated for interior and exterior trim, doors, cabinetry and more, and amazingly leaves behind no drips or brush marks.

As you prepare for your holiday posts, your readers may be looking for new and festive decorating techniques as they get ready for holiday entertaining with friends and family. Glidden Trim & Door's exceptional high gloss, no brush mark finish yields highly reflective surfaces that will help Christmas lights shine brighter and holiday accents stand out. As wreaths adorn doors, stockings hang above fireplaces, and lights decorate the interior and exterior of the home, Glidden Trim & Door provides a unique way to decorate for the holiday season.

Paint that doesn't drip?  I'm inspired!  And I'm taking the $20. Home Depot gift card Glidden sent me to buy some of this incredible stuff and brighten my holidays too.

Plus Glidden has given me a $20 gift card to give to a reader here. Leave a comment and I will draw a winner 12/1!

We're in the midst of fixing up a 90yo new-to-us house that has been an uncared-for rental for most of that time. Anything to fix it up a bit is most welcome!

We bought a fixer-upper of a home and have just started rehabilitating it (it was owned by a man who used drugs previously, so has terrible holes in the walls and other odd, violent damage). We've just gotten most of the drywall done, and we're starting to paint. I've noticed some drips with the brand we've been using, even though we've tried to be careful, so this sounds like a great product to get to try. Thanks for the opportunity!

Oh wow! I've got a front door that is probably 20 years overdue for a paint job!! This would be a great help, both for my door, and my budget :-)

Posted by: Patty | November 30, 2011 5:21 PM

We think we may have found a fixer upper and are looking a making an offer. Paint would only be one of the small things we're going to need but since we're doing this on a small budget every little bit helps.
