Who doesn't love Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy?  And who wouldn't love to win their choice of one?

aurora_raggedyann16inchdoll.jpgAurora Products has partnered with Hasbro to reach a new generation of children with the long-beloved characters of parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.  As a mom of 12 who's seen countless childhood trends come and go, I can say my heart skipped a beat when I opened the box that came in the mail with a brand new Raggedy Ann inside for me to share with . . . . well, maybe it's time to let out the secret: this one I'll be putting away for Sophia's honeymoon baby, due in February - the first new baby in our family for a long time!

Here's the official scoop:

  • Aurora is thrilled to work with Hasbro to bring a new generation of children into the fold of this classic and beloved brand with a new line of plush dolls striking just the right balance of vintage and modern elements
  • Aurora is very excited to showcase these handmade pieces that feature exquisite detail including fine facial features and yarn hair with the classic loop style. These are heirloom treasures that can be passed on for generations
  • The 8", 12" 16" and 25" classic Raggedy Ann or Raggedy Andy rag dolls are: $10, $15, $25 and $35 respectively
  • The Fancy Pals style -- Raggedy Ann Butterfly or Red Ribbon -- are 7" and $17 each
  • Four highly anticipated holiday styles join the line later this year. The Raggedy Ann "Chilly Chic" and "Santa's Helper" and Raggedy Andy "Chilly Chic" and "Santa" are 16 inches and SRP is $27
  • All Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy items are great for ages 18 months and up

But here's what I have to say: I've seen a lot of Raggedy Anns over my 64 years, but these are truly exceptionally made and the creators aren't exaggerating when they say heirloom craftsmanship. You will not be disappointed if you order these to put away for birthdays or Christmas - or just a surprise present now.

This kind of quality means a doll that can be passed down for generations. So if you don't have yours anymore, you can start again with your kids.

Aurora has promised one winner at MommyLife her choice of a 16" Raggedy Ann or Raggedy Andy - or one of the 7" Fancy Pals.  Just leave a comment for a drawing 8/20.

I love Raggedy Ann. My 8-year old has my 40+ year old doll, and I'd love to have another for my 4-year old.
