Pomegranate Kids - beautiful, artistic, educational

pomegranate_2233_449585950.png
I was so intrigued when I received an email from Josh at Pomegranate Kids - located in one of my California hometowns Petaluma - saying he'd noticed my penchant for Dover Coloring Books, which I've raved about at MommyLife as long as I've been blogging.

He thought I might be interested in their products and invited me to take a look. Wow - I love their stuff - not just for kids, but for everyone with a certain aesthetic that likes to send or surround themselves with things of art and beauty.

Pomegranate Kids provides such very special, unique and beautiful things for children, including

Coloring Books

Puzzles

Esoteric books

And so much more!!!

For review, I chose the Kling-Klang Gloria puzzle above, which is a reproduction of a lithograph of German songs  - in the Art Nouveau style.  The puzzle is 300 very good-sized pieces - and exceptionally good quality (like Ravensburger),  I plan to work on it with Daniel this week as he is right at 300-piece proficiency.

I also chose a Sticky Critter set, which is kind of like the old Colorforms (or maybe only I am old enough to remember those?), but much more artistic and imaginative:

And, btw, these items are packaged in nice, thick boxes that will last a long time rather than falling apart. Just the quality presentation will make your children want to take care of them.

Believe me, I had a hard time choosing, and will undoubtedly be doing some Christmas shopping at Pomegranate Kids. Please browse their site and dream. Leave a comment for a drawing 10/29 - two lucky winners will be able to choose a special item themselves!

I didn't realize they had items for children - I've had my eye on one of their (adult) puzzles for awhile, but am excited to see that they also have younger items. They're still a little old for my children, but not for some of my nieces & nephews. What a wonderful site!

I was just looking at puzzles in our small town department store yesterday and they had nothing near as beautiful as these puzzles. Would love to win one for my littles -- they adore doing puzzles during our long Alaskan winters (which has already arrived).

Isn't it true that sometimes the box can make all the difference whether a nice toy, game, etc. is thoroughly enjoyed over the long haul?! It sounds as if this company has it all... beautiful products in good packaging. And yes, a redo of the neat Colorforms concept is a winning idea!
